a) I buy everything available, because it’s just too hard to choose!

b) I browse at every store, make a list, and then choose according to which is the best value for the best quality. (Okay, and once-in-awhile a flow chart is involved.)

c) I’m a sucker for kits with flowers, ribbons, and pastels.

d) Kits? You can buy kits? That blows my mind.

e) I buy way more than I need, and then I just hide the paypal statements from my husband.

f) I’ll buy anything with bright colors, fun patterns, and upbeat word art!!

g) I get all of my supplies from my yahoo group…it’s all free! And if you don’t like it, matey, you can walk the plank, Argggh!

h) I just buy whenever the urge hits me, and I don’t keep track. I’ve been known to buy the same kit more than once…or twice?

i) I buy exactly what I need for the layout I have in mind, and I don’t buy anything else until I’ve used it.

j) I can do better on my own, so I make all of my own supplies. Frankly, no one else’s stuff even compares to mine.

Results:

(See previous post for descriptions)

a) Over-easy

b) Benedict

c) Soft-boiled

d) Fried

e) Deviled

f) Sunny-side-up

g) Rotten

h) Scrambled

i) Hard-boiled

j) Green

Egger Quiz

Rule #1 in Eggerville is that we’re ALL eggers, right? RIGHT! And all eggers are wonderful, right? RIGHT! However, that doesn’t mean that every egg in the carton is exactly the same. And, as egger facilitators, we’re committed to helping you in your discovery of your unique egger self. Therefore, in keeping with the grand tradition of such literary giants as Glamour magazine, we’ve hatched an EGGER QUIZ.

You, of course, are totally and 100% uniquely you. However, for the purposes of keeping this short, be prepared to be grouped into one of the following catEGGories (LOL)<?xml:namespace prefix = o />

CatEGGories:

HARD-BOILED: no-nonsense, straight-forward and assertive

SOFT-BOILED: tender, sensitive, prone to cry at sappy movies

SCRAMBLED: absent-minded, scattered, perhaps a little ditzy, but very lovable

SUNNY SIDE UP: eternal optimist, endlessly cheerful

OVER-EASY: easily persuaded, a pleaser, has difficulty making decisions

DEVILED: playful, blessed/cursed with a wild streak, daring

BENEDICT: proper, orderly, and a great rule-follower

GREEN: jealous, competitive, snarky (no one that we know, of course!)

ROTTEN: bad to the core (but again, no one around here!)

FRIED: hmmm….let’s just say: the lights are on, but nobody’s home

To make the fun (and yes, you will have fun, dadgummit!) last longer, we’ll be posting one quiz question per day. Today’s question goes a little something like this:

QUESTION #1

When leaving praise for a layout, which of the following comments would you be most likely to make:

a) Great lo. Keep it up.

b) That picture of your pet lizard made me tear up! It’s so sweet how you dressed him up for your SIL’s wedding!

c) I love that border…but the photo is my favorite…however, your journaling is the star…where’d you get that font?...it’s the best part of your lo.

d) Holy Heck!!!! This is AMAZING!!!! You are truly a genius!!!! Who else would’ve thought to put a picture on a piece of paper and give it a TITLE!!!!!!!!

e) What do you want me to say about your layout? Do you like it? Are you happy with how it turned out? Cause I’m happy if you’re happy!

f) This is just great! Now I dare you to take that same photo from the top of a moving train.

g) I say there, good chap, excellent work with aligning all of your elements according to the sound axiom of the balance of thirds.

h) Nice. I did one just like it last week. I would’ve added those hand-painted drop shadows too if I had nothing better to do.

i) Well, it’s okay and all. Maybe next time you could try hiding your auntie’s hairy mole with the clone tool. Some of us just ate.

j) Whoa, dudette, you raaawwwwk. When I cross my eyes a little, your grandma looks a lot like Bob Marley. Whooooaaaa!

Results:

In case you didn't already figure it out, the answers to question #1 line up in the same order as the categories above (a= hard-boiled, b= soft-boiled, c=scrambled, etc.). I decided to take it easy on you for this, the first question. Tomorrow's question may be a little tougher (and maybe a little less silly. . . maybe). Keep track of your answers (we grade on the honor system), and feel free to share with us all of the deep insights about yourself you're bound to discover! ;)

See you tomorrow!
Egger on!

Today's Egger Award!

A very special egging goes out this week to Sonya Johnston! One of her fellow digiscrappers at Scrapbook-Bytes.com--where she is known as soniecat--nominated her recently. “Sonya is always willing to pitch in, lend a hand when someone is in need of help. She is so helpful to people in the chatroom when she hosts crops. She makes free stuff for her own crops and then helps out other crop hostesses who do not have the time to make any for their own crops. Very generous with her time even though she has two year old twin boys to keep her plate plenty full already. Sonya is also just a sweet friend. Always trying to do whatever she can to make life a little easier for you, even though it probably makes her life more difficult in the process.” Sonya, our hats are off to you! Well, it’s all hogwash. JUST KIDDING!! No, we really believe in it, and we’ve been trying to show that. However, we are only human, errr…perishable food items…so we can’t be everywhere. That’s why we need YOUR help.

We have a sneaking suspicion that each of you knows someone in the digi community who inspires and gives without personal regard. Someone who doesn’t seek or receive the adoration of thousands, yet has made a life better just by the small things she is or does.

Stop right now and consider who came to your mind just then. It would be helpful to know where she hangs out (digi-wise) so we can stalk her (tee hee). We’d like this to be a healthy exercise in anonymity (Do NOT confuse that with animosity!), so remember, please submit in email form (daegger@gmail.com). Did I mention our email address? DAEGGER@GMAIL.COM !!!.

We are not adding up votes, picking the best of the bunch, choosing our homecoming queen or anything like that - we just want to hear from all of you eggers - who do you notice? Ask anyone who knows her, and they tend to include the word “sweetheart” when they describe her. She has a passion for designing, and her work shows a playful yet sophisticated flair. I watched as a mom with three young kids managed to push a cart full of groceries, hold one baby (probably around 10 months) on her hip, have her oldest (about 5 years) hanging on to the cart side, and her middle child (probably 3-ish) splashed in the puddles a few steps behind her.
And these thoughts all ran through my head:
Sometimes I guess there's just not enough hands.
What a good mom.
She must be really strong to push that cart with one hand.
Look how calm she is even though her son is about to be plowed by oncoming traffic (ok not really they all saw him and he was only like a step and a half behind her).

But what really struck me, is that I have been there myself. You probably have too at some time or another. And this is what we want to challenge you with.

"Women are amazingly strong and admirable."

I sat there and marvelled at that mom and her ability and it took me a few minutes to realize, hey, I do the same thing. I have been there. We women do NOT give ourselves enough credit. We have more strength to stand under pressure, to persevere in the face of hopelessness, to push through the hardest wall of opposition - all on our sheer will and determination. And the driving force behind most of that is our love and passion.
{This is in NO WAY intended to be a belittling post to the men in our lives, or not in our lives as the case may be. Rather this is a focus on the absolutely amazing ability women have to just DO anything! }
If that had been dad pushing that cart alone...would it have struck me as so poignant? Probably not - in fact it would probably have been a novelty and most likely my reaction would have been one of -wow, i am so impressed that a DAD is doing that by HIMSELF!!! And yet that mom probably does that on a week in, week out basis, possibly even more than once a week, without any special recognition, or thanks, or acknowledgement. But she does it because she has to, because she knows she must in order to provide for her family, out of some innate inborn sense of what to do and when to do it that she posseses simply because she is a woman, a mom, a good mom.
Now, having just gone through the last two weeks watching the Olympic Games, we saw athletes at the top of their fields, hailed as the best, the brightest , the fastest the strongest ones of their nation. And if they emerge as the best of all of THOSE other people, the honor they receive is a gold medal. It is the pinnacle of their career, quite possibly their lives for many of them.
In a similar manner - we challenge you this week to recognize the woman who inspires you, who you think is the best, brightest, fastest, strongest - insert your favorite adjective here - woman that you know. Recognize her in some way. Could be a shout out on a message board, a small thank you card in the mail, or maybe you will do a layout about it.
But here is the real challenge in this challenge - there is a very good chance that we all know someone who has battled breast cancer and survived, a mom who has moved on from miscarriages to have a healthy baby, our own moms whose strength we draw on day in and day out, across towns, states, countries and oceans - there are probably ten to twelve women I myself could think of to give a gold medal to right now. And I will.
But you know what?
Sometimes the person who needs that medal the most, is the one who is recognized the least. Who we pay the least attention to. (remember back to our first post? who we eggers are?)
That's right. Go right now to the nearest reflective surface handy - look in there - that beautiful shining face - THAT is the face of a gold medal woman.
You see, it could have been YOU that was that woman pushing her cart through the rain. Maybe you do'nt have kids and maybe you do'nt grocery shop.
But we have all been there at some point - pushing our heavy unwieldy carts full of our problems and burdens and thoughts and worries and schedules through the dreary days of life. Dodging traffic and puddles, holding our family together with one hand, eyes constantly on the lookout for anything dangerous, any cars backing up, any potential problems arising. Always watching, always looking out, always moving forward. Tired to the core sometimes, but still we keep pushing, knowing if we can just make it to the car, it will be ok, Just get through the next ten minutes cause if you think any farther ahead it might just overwhelm you to tears. Just keep pushing. You are doing on a daily basis that which would bring most grown men to their knees in a matter of hours. You possess an inner strength to persevere that not even some of those olympian athletes flying down a mountain at 80 miles an hour can ever come close to knowing.
YOU
WIN
A
GOLD
MEDAL.

Recognize the last time you had strength you didn't know you had. Go ahead, pat yourself on the back, we are all here to listen and clap for you.

Just keep pushing.
The car is just up ahead.

You can do it.

Keep on eggin'!

Another Egging!!!

Today’s Egg of the Day is Tania Sterud, also known on the message boards as TaniaJPS. As a certified college professor and a linguist (she speaks multiple languages fluently), she’s a highly intelligent woman who expresses herself beautifully. As a mom to two young children, she is very in touch with the ups and downs of domestic life. And, as a member of our digi scrapping community, she is a devoted friend to all and an advocate of self-expression in all of its forms. But we know you all egg it forward so well - we weren't worried.

Today we got wind of a very special event going on at one of our favorite digi-hangout places.

It is a charity crop for a great cause. So....we present to you not only this week's good egg, but our challenge too - all rolled into one!

Some of you may already know our good egg - she is a very friendly face on any of the boards she frequents. Even if you do'nt recognize her name, you surely have been affected in some way by her handiwork, as she has SO MUCH going on all over the digi world. I do not know how this chick does it! She is inspirational to be sure! This good egg does so much behind the scenes work that if I were to even begin trying to list all the things she is involved in, I would surely leave some out and hurt more feelings than I help.
So without further ado - I present to you this weeks good egg -
Miss Bree Clarkson (aka Ditzyscrap)!!!
She has probably at some point welcomed you into a chat, written a newsletter that you have read, posted a call on her digital calls site that you have answered (and maybe won!), left cheery praise on your layouts, or responded wittily to one of your board posts.
What makes this girl all the more amazing is that she does all this while facing what I can only imagine is a mother's worst nightmare - you see, she has a little boy who was diagnosed with cancer.
And that is why today's challenge is so important too.
Today Bree is hosting an all day charity crop event at DigiScrapDivas. It is full of fun games, prizes, chats, challenges - so much that I cannot possibly begin to list it all here! I will give you a few links at the end of this post.
Our challenge to you today, dear fellow eggers, is that you will head on over to the DSD website, participate in a few challenges, possibly win a prize or two, but most importantly - purchase this awesome charity kit or make a donation in some other way (details are at the site through a link below) - and help to show your support of this wonderful charity that brightens the lives of kids and families dealing with cancer. There is probably not a one of us reading this who has not known someone, even within our own families, who has been affected by cancer. Maybe you are loud and fun and people mistake that for obnoxiousness. Maybe you are very smart and come across as know it all when you are just trying to help. Maybe people judge a little too quickly before they know the whole story.
and all the while you just want to scream - don't skip ahead - read each chapter in the book of my life, in the story of me, and TRY TO KNOW ME.
We all want to be known, be loved, be admired be understood.
So...

how do you make people understand? Do you change yourself or change their minds? Either option is a little bit like trying to herd cats. Darn near impossible. But there's gotta be a happy medium somewhere right? A happy little place between the rock of being misunderstood and the hard place of not communicating yourself well. It is probably a life long quest for most of us. I know for me personally it always will be.
And for the other eggers, and for you eggers who read this and egger on every day.

so this week's egger challenge...
do a layout about how you are misunderstood. Tell the world, or at least the digi scrapping community at large, how you feel misunderstood, and what you can do to change that misperception. Maybe you will try to post more on the forums, maybe you will try to post a little less and not be an attention hog (that would be for me!), maybe you will try to truly express yourself in a different way in your real life. Whatever it is - discover your true voice, and work to use that, to show that to the people with whom you interact (be that on the internet or in real life).

there are some VERY VERY cool eggers out there - all of you - are all so inspiring to us.
We love seeing your work. We cannot tell you the smiles it brings to our faces to see what you have done. We love how things are being egged on!!!

as always - we welcome comments, suggestions and constructive criticism. (yes our shells are somewhat fragile, you will have to be gentle with us!)

Let us know what's on your mind!

We hope you all have a very eggy week.

Egger on!

We have two wonderful ladies to egg today!

The first is Julie Howard. So many of you have been so incredibly supportive, and we thank you with all our little yellow gelatinous hearts! After much discussion and chatter, we’ve decided to go forward with the Egg a Good Egg program, soooooo….

Today’s Good Egg Award goes to the lovely and talented Anita Stergiou! Some of you may know her better as “DigiVixen” (go Anita!) on the message boards. Anita lives in Perth, Australia, where she is a SAHM to 2 young sons, a WAHM, and a fairly new digital designer of some amazing products. Her digi scrapping strengths include drop-dead photography, which she showcases on dramatic layouts. Her personal strengths are maaannnnyyy, but among them are her sincerity and her generosity. You’ll never meet a kinder, more accepting and compassionate person no matter WHAT country you look in. She is very supportive of not only the digital community as a whole, but also of each woman in it. Anita, we like your style, and THIS EGG’S FOR YOU!

If you want to learn more about Anita or give her a pat on the back, check out her blog: http://anitastergiou.typepad.com/

Okay, eggcellent news #2!!

Egger Challenge #3!!!!!

We want you to create a Joy List. This is a list of things that make you happy, just thinking about them. They can be as simple as the shiny chrome toaster you’ve been dreaming about your whole life (and who doesn’t?), or as earth-shattering as the Nobel prize you won last year. If it makes you smile, put it on the list! (Extra points for every item on that list that makes you erupt into spontaneous giggling.)

The point of a Joy List is that it not only makes you feel great while you’re making it, but when you’re feeling down, all you have to do is read it, and it’ll cheer you up! And hopefully, it’ll help you to remember how BLESSED you are, just because you have joy in your life. What could be better? What could be more egger?

We’d love to get a peek at what’s on YOUR joy list (maybe we can inspire each other!), so once you’ve got it together, include it on your blog, and leave us a link to it. Or, even better, make it into a layout and post it in a gallery. Again, give us a link so we can all share.

May the Egger be with you!

Ok we have been tagged, sorry for the delay in responding.

1. 4 jobs you've had in your life:
Making People feel better
Making someone smile
Spreading Egger Love
Making someone's day a little brighter

2. In the original egger plan hatched by a group of us old hens, we wanted to point out on the blog a few people who have caught our eye in this digi scrapping community. Not to single them out, not to praise them up and down, not to make them the winners of the popularity contest (because there isn't one to win, remember???? If not, re read lesson one...)
Simply - we were trying to find a way to bring to the forefront, those who are sometimes hiding in the shadows. Because beauty grows in the shadows too - you just have to look really close for it. So we were trying to show you all the shadows basically with our original plan.
well - we are all good eggs here, so we try to learn from "constructive criticism" that has been passed down on the egger sentiment. To that degree - we are torn about what to do with our egger mission.
So we want to hear from YOU - the eggers.
Would you like to see a good egg highlighted here on a regular, or not so regular basis? What do you want to know about that egg?
OR - would that make you feel like this WAS just another digi-clique.
Because truly, that is not, never was, and never will be the intention of the eggers. ENCOURAGEMENT is what we're all about.
We just wanted to find a way to encourage some people we know have been sort of down.
We have talked to a few eggers out there - and it seems to be pretty much divided down the middle. Not helping! We original eggers are divided down the middle ourselves!!! ( IN a good way!!!) WE are cracked in half!!!
So please - tell us your thoughts. What do you want to see more of on this blog? Do you WANT to know more about your fellow eggers?
Do you have an egger entry you would like to submit?
LET US KNOW!!!!

OUr email is

Daegger@gmail.com

OR - you can just leave us a comment here. It all gets to where it needs to go eventually.

So thanks! Thanks for egging it on and egging it forward.

While you are mulling over our thoughts above - we egger challenge you!!!

Egger Challenge #2

Go find TEN layouts in any gallery by someone you have never interacted with - a TOTAL stranger to you. Maybe they are new to digi scrapping, or just new to that gallery. Or maybe they have been there a while but you just don't recognize the name. LEave a comment on TEN layouts. That are new to you. Look at them. What can you learn from them> What caught your eye and made you open that one in the first place? Was it a cute photo? Maybe it was their kit choice...maybe it was just a very simple layout. Soak each one in, and try to draw from it something you yourself can use in your scrapping. Challenge yourself to see something new.

We hope you enjoy this challenge.

Then let us know how it goes. Was it harder than you thought? Easier maybe? Did you discover anything new about a technique, or maybe about yourself and your own scrapping style? Or maybe you just left comments on ten new layouts - either way
CONGR-EGG-u-LATIONS!!!

Keep it eggin!

the eggers

OK - a few things obviously need to be cleared up before we go any further. First of all - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who has posted their blog address, their layouts, their thoughts on our first egger challenge. They have all been awesome. And some of you who DIDN'T leave your comments, well we still found you anyways - and LOVE that so many of you are GETTING EGGY WITH IT!!!
And so.... without further ado....
Our official egger blinkie.

Right click on it, save as, to wherever you will be able to find it again!! upload it to photobucket or the photo host of your choice, then insert that code into your signature at any message board that uses/accepts blinkies.
IF YOU WANT TO!!!! No one is forcing you to take this blinkie. It is there for YOU, as a reminder TO YOU to always encourage someone else. One Egger put in her comments - it is like "egging it forward", in oprah's words, its a RAE (random act of eggerness), or as another Egger said - "Egg unto others as you would have egged unto you". Yes those are silly - that is what it is all about! Be silly! Let GO of the bad feelings. As a very wise friend pointed out to me today (me being the egger who is writing this post) - most of our bad feelings are imposed upon ourselves, BY ourselves. We are our own worst critic most of the time. And being an egger is about giving that little Roger Ebert that lives inside of all of us a DAY OFF - no, a lifetime off! You do'nt need him anymore!!! Lighten your own life, brighten the lives of those around you and just BE. Be happy, be yourself, be an encouragement.
A question we have been asked, and have seen asked a lot is - "how do i become an egger?"
And the answer is - you already ARE one.
If you read the first post - REALLY READ IT , no skimming- you will see in like the first three or four lines, we address that. There is a little egger inside all of us. You do not have to wholeheartedly agree with everything in print here on this site. You can pick and choose which concepts apply to you, and which you disagree with. You are even free to post your disagreement, in a positive healthy way, here as a comment! If we all thought the same thing all the time about everything, the world would sure be a boring place wouldn't it?
The egger mail? You all deserve it. Every last single one of you. But it is going to take us a LONG time to get it out to you all. We had NO idea this many people would embrace the egger sentiment. So....
Consider yourselves hereby EGGED.

And to address the "clique" concern...
A clique is defined by Mr. Webster (or more likely one of his more contemporary descendants) as " an exclusive circle of people with a common purpose". Well, that almost fits. But we are anything BUT exclusive here. No invites, no pressure, no membership cards. Just you deciding in your heart that you are an egger. Or not. Whichever way. Would we love to have you all on our journey? Most definitely, but we aren't going to force you. We are very grateful for those who have come on our journey thus far. You are all opening our eyes up to different ways of thinking, allowing us to see glimpses into the beautiful women you all are through your thoughts, your layouts, your comments.
To that end, we prefer the term sisterhood. Or better yet, CLAN. Cause you can't change your clan, you are born into it and you are stuck there! And like it or not, in some way, at some point, you will be an egger, even if you do not now consider yourself one. Some time, some day, you will smile at the girl behind the coffee counter handing you your order, and tell her she has a beautiful smile, and you will have made her day. Some day, you will hold the door open for a little old lady pushing her husband in a wheelchair, and they will thank you, and you will have restored their faith in the general goodness of people here in this world.
Some day... you may post a glowing comment on a lonely layout, or answer a lost newbie's question on the message boards, or post a layout of your own that brings a smile to someone's face....

And then you will know...

You are an Egger.

Egg it forward.

{above comments from the forthcoming book, Chicken Soup for the Egger Soul}
kidding..

Credits: Amy Tanabe's Candyland Kit (which is the most beautiful kit ever!) We thought we would maybe have a handful of people jumping on board with us. To see the numbers of comments, and replies, and emails - and that is just from those brave enough to POST! Look at how many people have viewed this little ol blog in ONE DAY!!!
Wow.
Our apologies, though, to those who cried. Unless you like to cry. Then you're welcome!! We admit - we were all a little teary eyed too seeing the overwhelming response to what's been on our hearts for a while now.

so now the fun begins.

Let us just first say - this is not meant in ANY WAY to undercut what the wonderful EFFERS are doing. We love and respect all things effer and are not trying in any way to replace them, to be them, to upset them. The Effer Dares are AMAZING and if you have not done one, or read their blog, you need to. It will change the way you look at things we promise.

Ok end disclaimer.

We have "egged" our first Good Egg - Miss Kimberly Giarrusso.
We will have a post dedicated to her later on today - watch for it - you will not want to miss getting to know this crazy gal!!!

check her blog out here though if you are DYING of curiosity!!!

Kimberly's Eggy Blog

We will , along with choosing a weekly "good Egg", have here Egger Challenges. Challenges because we want to challenge you to challenge yourself. Look yourself in the eye and ask yourself if you are strong enough to do this. To face fears, ghosts from the past, or the present, things you always told yourself were "too hard" or you would "do it later".

We will start out kind of easy, and build up. We have a few things in the works right now, and hope you will ALL join us on this fun ride. We are planning a chat very soon, some freebies for completing challenges, and coming VERY shortly - an egger blinkie.

Alright - enough chitchat.
The first Egger Challenge is this:

What makes you an Egger at heart?

Some of you have started opening this question up in your comments, or replies to our post on two peas...but really, really search yourself out. What makes you connect with the Egger Mission Statement below? We aren't trying to rip the scabs off of old wounds here, we promise. But sometimes to get past the deep hurt, you've gotta expose the wound to fresh air.
you can do a layout if you feel led, or you can just type a few paragraphs on your blog. Or shoot, open up a Word doc and just start writing away!
Whatever you do - let us know! Link us to your layout, your blog post, whatever.

We want to know YOU!!!

Now go - egger on.

One last thing....

Eggers LOVE comments!!!!

Who are the Eggers?

Who we are doesn't matter nearly as much as WHAT we are all about.

We are digi-scrappers, moms, wives, daughters, sisters, friends - women. We could be your next door neighbor or your postal carrier. We could be the lady who took "your" parking spot at the mall or that lady whose kids who are screaming all the way through target. Take a look around - Eggers are all around you.
Cause you see - everyone has a little bit of Egger in them.

Eggers are all of us. All of us who have ever needed a friend, but sometimes felt like we couldn't find one. Eggers are women who go about their days, doing what they always do, what they have to do, most of their work invisible. Eggers are often underappreciated for the beauty they create around them, and that is within them. They are not always the popular girls, the stand outs in the crowd, the ones whose name everyone knows. They are the quiet, unassuming ones who are making a difference to the ones who matter most to them. That is not to say that some popular girls are not also eggers; eggers encompass a broad range of personalities.

Eggers do have this in common though -
they remember the days of junior high and high school, of cliques, and groups and popularity contests...
and they realize that something about those days should never have been brought with us into adulthood. Didn't we all learn our lessons? That being popular, or in the "in crowd" - doesn't always bring true happiness?

The eggers want to put a stop to the madness. We want our fellow eggers to learn to appreciate who they are, just as they are. Eggers know that just because a layout may not have fifteen comments of praise following it, it doesnt make it any less important to her family.
Eggers are beautifully and wonderfully creative - each in her own way, each to her own taste, and each for her own special reasons.

Eggers realize that life is too short to be caught up in high school inspired beauty, popularity, acceptance type contests. This dig-community we all so love can be a two-edged sword. It is so freeing to create without some of the constrains of "paper"scrapping, and yet it can be so isolating, to sit at your computer alone. So we seek out acceptance, camaraderie, friendships through our computer screens and internet connections. some find it instantly, others are still searching for it. And it sends some of us right back to the hallways of our alma maters - wondering if today might be the day that a popular girl notices you. We are not saying that just because we are eggers we are above this. We are not saying that the eggers will rid the digi-world of this injustice. We are only saying - come with us on our journey, the journey we all take to finding freedom from these feelings within and for ourselves. Learn to LOVE your layouts, with or without praise comments on them - simply because YOU have captured YOUR memories the best way YOU know how.
We hope that we can help you see how beautiful you truly are, the artist you truly are, and learn that that is enough. Believing in yourself is enough. Let go of the silly nebulous "rules" that are implicitly governing this community we interact in. If you get published in a magazine - WONDERUL!!! If that is a goal you have set FOR YOURSELF that will TRULY make YOU happy - GO FOR IT!!! We will be here to root for you all the way! But if you are doing just because that is the implied pinnacle of a scrapping career - let it go. Let it all go...
And just be you.

Be an Egger.

Laugh out loud.
Scrap an unbalanced layout.
Blog what's on YOUR heart and YOUR mind - even it means you might offend someone.
Reach out to someone who needs reaching out to.
Post in a forum.
Leave a comment on a layout you like - simply because you like it - without expecting praise back to one of your layouts.
Let us see the real you. Appreciate the real you.

Keep it REAL. Keep it Eggin.
